Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DesktopEpics ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DesktopEpics is a subscription-based streaming platform delivering original micro-drama content. Content is produced using AI-assisted video generation tools with human voice performances. The first episode of every series is available for free without an account. Access to additional episodes requires an active subscription.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • You must provide a valid email address
  • One account per person
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You may not share your account or allow others to access your subscription
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Subscription Terms

Pricing

  • Single plan: $4.44/month
  • No annual plans, no tiers, no season passes
  • No free trial period — Episode 1 of every series is always free instead

Billing and Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew until cancelled. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.

Georgia Auto-Renewal Disclosure (O.C.G.A. § 13-12-3): Your subscription will automatically renew each month at $4.44/month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your Account page. Upon subscribing, you will receive a confirmation email with your renewal terms and cancellation instructions.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You retain access to subscription content until the end of your paid period
  • No refunds are issued for partial billing periods

5. Content Ownership

All content on DesktopEpics (video, audio, text, graphics, UI design) is owned by DesktopEpics Studios or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright laws.

  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to stream content for personal, non-commercial use
  • You may not download, copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any content
  • You may not circumvent or disable any content protection or DRM mechanisms
  • Screenshots and short clips for personal, non-commercial commentary are permitted under fair use

6. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

DesktopEpics content is produced using AI-assisted video generation tools. Human voice actors provide character performances. All AI tools used in production are properly licensed. This disclosure is provided in accordance with FTC guidelines on AI-generated media.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share account credentials with others
  • Use VPNs to circumvent geographic restrictions
  • Attempt to circumvent DRM or download protected content
  • Scrape, automate access, or reverse-engineer any aspect of the Service
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

8. DMCA Notice

DesktopEpics respects intellectual property rights. To report copyright infringement, send a DMCA notice to legal@desktopepics.com with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing material with enough detail to locate it
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Content availability may change — series or episodes may be added or removed.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DesktopEpics' total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Henry County, Georgia.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email with 30 days notice. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
