Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Effective date: March 16, 2026

1. Our Practices

DesktopEpics does not sell personal information in the traditional sense. We do not exchange your data for monetary compensation. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the use of analytics tools that share data with third parties may constitute "sharing" of personal information.

2. What We Share

When you consent to analytics cookies, we share anonymized browsing and usage data with:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): Aggregate page views, session data, and browsing patterns for service improvement
  • PostHog: Anonymized product usage events for understanding how viewers use the platform

This data is used exclusively for improving DesktopEpics. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

3. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of analytics data sharing using any of the following methods:

Method 1: Cookie Preferences

Use the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page. Toggle off "Analytics Cookies" and save your preferences. This takes effect immediately.

Method 2: Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Enable Global Privacy Control in your browser. DesktopEpics automatically detects and honors GPC signals — analytics tracking will be disabled without any additional action on your part.

Method 3: Email Request

Email privacy@desktopepics.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request." Include the email address associated with your account.

4. Verification

For email opt-out requests, we will verify your identity via the email address associated with your DesktopEpics account. We will process verified requests within 15 business days.

5. Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights. Opting out of analytics sharing will not affect your access to the platform, subscription pricing, or quality of service.
